Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., reacted to a magazine cover depicting her uncle kneeling between NFL players Colin Kaepernick and Michael Bennett.
Bennett, a Seattle Seahawk, and Kaepernick, a former San Francisco 49er, have "taken a knee" to protest alleged police brutality and mistreatment of minorities.
King said that when her father, Alfred "A.D." King, and uncle took a knee, it was "in prayer, as a repentance for their sins [and] the sins of their nation."
King said Kaepernick and Bennett should be asking God to heal differences in America, as opposed to using kneeling as a confrontational act..
